At Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley our mission is to empower people with disabilities and other disadvantages to achieve independence and improve their quality of life, and our vision is to make it possible for all people to live, learn, work and play with full inclusion in the life of the community. The agency offers over 40 programs across 6 different departments.

Our agency offers services to individuals of all ages, ranging from infants to senior adults. We offer employment services, vocational training, behavioral health, services to seniors and children, and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. GESMV also offers services at its West Campus Community Services Center.

We provide employment services for individuals in recovery, returning citizens, individuals with disabilities, individuals with developmental disabilities, and any resident of Montgomery County who needs assistance with employment. These services include job development, career preparation, career mapping, job coaching, and vocational assessments. Recovery and Employment provides job development, vocational training, and peer support to individuals living in recovery.

Our vocational training services include industry-recognized, short-term certifications, including customer service, IT, and janitorial. We work with individuals who are working to overcome poverty and gain self-sufficiency, and this includes young adults and senior adults.

Our behavioral health services include Main Street Recovery, a counseling center which also provides medication management and case management. GESMV offers certified peer recovery supports stretching from young adults to senior adults. Our agency staffs the Warm Line, a phone service available to all residents of Montgomery County who are feeling isolated, lonely, or in need of resources. GESMV operates Miracle Clubhouse, an Internationally Accredited Clubhouse which provides a place to belong and community to individuals living with persistent or recurrent mental illness. A.L.L. Club follows the example of Miracle Clubhouse and offers a place to belong and supports to youth between the ages of 7th and 12th grade who have experienced trauma, mental health concerns, or substance use. Additionally, GESMV offers prevention services such as Generation Rx and Botvin Life Skills throughout Montgomery County. Our agency provides Early Childhood Mental Health services to children who are exhibiting behavioral or social indicators of mental health or trauma.

GESMV provides Adult Day Services to senior adults who are over the age of 55 and experiencing dementia or medical fragility. This program allows individuals to remain independent by providing a safe place for them to interact with others during the day on Monday through Friday. GESMV also offers Matter of Balance to help seniors prevent slips, trips and falls, and the Medical Equipment Loan Program which provides medical equipment to Montgomery County residents who need it.

GESMV provides child screening for children between the ages of 0 to 5, identifying early indicators or motor or developmental delays. GESMV works with families to provide referrals and resources to allow families to intervene with this issues as early as possible. GESMV also provides car seats to families who qualify for the Women Infant and Children (WIC) program. This ensures all families have access to car seats and can properly restrain children.

GESMV offers services to individuals with developmental disabilities including Adult Day Supports, employment services, and homemaker personal care. These services are available to individuals referred through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.

The West Campus Community Services Center opened in February 2023. The center provides a variety of services including an Adult Day Services program for seniors, an Adult Day Supports program for individuals with development disabilities, ALL Club, and Young at Heart. Young at Heart offers socialization, education, and community to senior adults who do not have a medical need for a higher level of care. West Campus Community Services Center also provides employment and vocational training opportunities.
