Montgomery County ADAMHS LocalHelpNow Provider Policy

The Montgomery County ADAMHS Board is proud to host the LocalHelpNow (LHN) web app in partnership with Ascend Innovations. The purpose of LocalHelpNow is to provide accurate, timely and accessible information on substance use, mental health, and community resources available in Montgomery County.

Providers currently funded by the Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board will automatically be approved for LHN. Other local behavioral health providers and community resources are welcome to apply to be featured on LHN and must meet the below requirements:

  • Providers must fill out the LocalHelpNow survey, providing as much detailed information regarding their services as possible. The survey can be found at this link and takes about 15-20 minutes to complete: https://mc.localhelpnow.org/survey
  • Organizations providing behavioral health treatment or prevention services must be certified for their applicable services through an accreditation organization such as the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS), CARF, JCARR, Ohio Recovery Housing, etc. Preference will be given to providers that have a national accreditation
  • Each agency will undergo a review period from the Montgomery County ADAMHS staff, which may include a walk-through of the agency’s facilities and requests for additional information as needed

All agency approval for LocalHelpNow is done at the discretion of ADAMHS Board staff.
