Westwood Behavioral Health Center, Inc. is a community based Behavioral Health Service provider dedicated to providing its community with professional outpatient behavioral health services including mental health, alcohol and drug addiction and prevention. It is our mission to provide the highest quality behavioral health care services, while advocating for dignity and respect for those we serve.

Westwood Behavioral Health Center, Inc. is a private not-for-profit (501C3) community behavioral health agency currently serving Van Wert and Paulding Counties. Westwood Behavioral Health Center is dedicated to providing professional outpatient mental health, prevention, alcohol & drug treatment and recovery services in a person-centered environment. Westwood is the contract provider for the Tri County ADAMHS Board serving Van Wert, Paulding, and Mercer Counties. Westwood Behavioral Health has been serving the Van Wert community since 1976. In 2010, Westwood began offering alcohol/drug treatment services in Paulding County. Services are provided in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (ODMHAS), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and all applicable Federal Regulations including 42 CFR Part 2 and Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

The Board and staff believe that mental illness requires an integrated approach to assist clients in maximizing their functioning, and that addiction is preventable and treatable with appropriate services and supports systems. Services are provided through prevention, intervention, Crisis Intervention services, counseling (including group, individual, family and gender specific), case management, pharmacotherapy, and referrals to appropriate levels of care not available at the Center.
