SOAR (Solid Opportunities for Advancement & Retention)
Our flagship program, provides a two-week job readiness training for adults (age 18 and older) that introduces skills that are needed to be successful in today’s workforce. Upon graduating from the training, participants continue to receive job coaching, as well as assistance with obtaining additional credentials and barrier removal in support of their ability to be self-sufficient. Through EMERGE we will introduce the Junior SOAR program that is provided for high school students.
EMERGE (Elevate, Motivate, Engage, Relate, Gain, & Entertain). Our newly re-branded youth program, provides barrier removal for youth ages 14–21 in-school and ages 16–24 out-of-school to place them on a pathway to self-sufficiency through achievement of a job, obtaining a credential or apprenticeship or continuing their education. EMERGE is designed to build relationships and trust with the youth and continual guidance and counseling provided until they exit the program.
Financial Empowerment Center (FEC). The FEC has a Financial Coach in the Dayton market to provide education and financial coaching to aid participants as they work to achieve financial stability and independence by providing one-on-one confidential financial coaching; hosting Wealth Building Wednesday virtual workshops on different money topics; facilitating Money Circles, financial education support groups that cover topics such as savings, debt management and home ownership preparation; and partnering with local financial institutions to provide financial literacy to high school aged students in the EMERGE program.
